Multi-Culture Workshops @ Richmond Hill Branch
To build an integrated, socially cohesive society and promote intercultural understanding, Toronto Community & Culture Centre will host a "Celebrate our Mid-Autumn Fesitival Together" event on Saturday, October 25, 2014.
Before the event, we have two workshops at our Richmond Hill Branch.These workshops are bridges between ethnical minority communities in GTA to exchange their unique cultures and encourage them to work together for better understanding between communities. It is a great opportunity to bridge the cultural differences and promote mutural understanding among ethnical minority groups.
Roundtable Meeting with Toronto Police Officer
On August 20, Toronto Community & Culture Centre organized a roundtable meeting between Chinese community leaders in Chinatown and police community liaison officers from Toronto and York Region. The purpose of the meeting is to promote the safety education among Chinese community and enhance the cooperation between police officers and Chinese community organizations in order to build a safe and friendly neighbordhood. During the meeting, Chinese community leaders exchanged ideas with Liaison Officer Qian L Yang and invited him to teach lectures on safety issues among community in the future. We believe that better cooperation and collobration between police officers and community would help us build a better community and a more safe environment.
2014加拿大华人大型露天中秋联欢晚会
多伦多华人团体联合总会和加拿大同乡联合总会将于8月22日晚7时共同举办“海上升明月,天涯共此时 - 2014 加拿大华人大型露天中秋联欢晚会”。届时,加拿大多元文化民间艺术协会、韵舞蹈团、钞艺萍声乐中心、少林功夫武术团、彩虹舞蹈团等多家当地艺术团体和个人将免费为大家倾情奉献一场视觉盛宴,节目形式包括歌曲、舞蹈、川剧变脸、戏曲、腰鼓、太平鼓、武术等;现场还将派发商家赞助的免费礼物和月饼。

TCCC Successfully Host Gardening Knowledge Workshop on July 18
Toronto Community & Culture Centre successfully host the workshop on the knowledge of gardening in TCCC office, located at 222 Spadina Ave., on July 18th, 2014. Our Centre invited the famous gardening specialist Rita Yuan as the guest speaker, and 34 people attended the workshop. During the workshop, Ms. Yuan shared professional knowledge and experiences with the audience; and answered the questions from them. Participants' reply is positive and said that they gained a lot from this workshop.
The purpose of this workshop is to better serve the need of the seniors, especially those retired, to help them get out of the isolated physical and mental state, to enrich their post-retirement life, and to build a close and friendly relationship with other community members.
