2015 Culture Performance Event

2015 Culture Performance Event

To promote Chinese Culture Performance to community’s members, especially for youth and retired seniors, Toronto Community and Culture Centre hold a “2015 Culture Performance Event” on November 27, 2015 at Chinatown Centre. The event includes:Singing, Dance, Chinese Traditional Dance, Chinese Opera, Tai Chi etc. performances.

St. Jacob One Day Trip

Fall is always a amazing, beautiful season in a year, Mandarin Senior Club went to St. Jacob Farmer's Market on Oct. 22nd, 2015.  Seniors were enjoyed the warm day in suburb, shopped veggies at largest farmer market in Ontario, and tasted different style food in the market. They also visited antique market, and learnt the Canadian culture and history from antique china, souvenirs, and furniture. At last seniors group went to the famous Waterloo village, enjoyed the sunshine at the coffee shop in the warm fall afternoon. Wonderful Day for seniors!

Mandarin Seniors Club of Toronto Community & Culture Center held a serious workshops on Chinese Herbs.  Mr. Zhou hosted the workshop and he introduced some popular chinese herbs around our neighborhood, such as: cassia, ginkgo, solanum nigrum and wolfberries plant etc.  The seniors leart a lot and expressed great interests on chinese herbs.

Mandarin Senior Club - Toronto Community and Culture Centre held second workshop on Food Guide on October 15th, 2015. Public Health Nurse of The Toronto Public Health taught seniors a lot on Nutrition (Canada's Food Guide, Portion Sizes, and basic overview of label reading).
